Kenzo (Japanese: ゲンゾウ Genzō) is a character of the day in the Pokémon anime who appeared in Two Hits and a Miss.

Kenzo was the shihan of his own dojo. However the years were catching up to him and he needed to pass on the duty to someone else. A likely candidate was his granddaughter Chigusa. However, he didn't want her to be shihan because she was more concerned with her Pokémon's moves "looking pretty" rather than concentrating on battling, and wanted Ash to be his heir. Later on, Chigusa proved herself worthy and she became shihan of the dojo.

Kenzo's Machoke

Kenzo used this Machoke to battle Shiro's Hitmonlee. However, neither Kenzo or Machoke could battle due to back problems so Chigusa had to take his place.
