Pokémon Island

Pokémon Island (Japanese: ポケモンアイランド Pokémon Island) is a little-known island probably located in the sea near Kanto, although the exact whereabouts are unknown.

Pokémon Island is home to many different species of wild Pokémon. Completely isolated, it's an ideal environment to observe how wild Pokémon act naturally. Though it shows signs of being previously inhabited by humans, Pokémon Trainers are not currently allowed on the island because catching the local Pokémon would upset the island's natural balance.

Pokémon Island has several different habitats ideal for all types of Pokémon. Several rare species of Pokémon, including the Legendary Birds and Mew, have been seen on or around the island.

In Pokémon Snap, Professor Oak hires Todd Snap to take photographs of all the Pokémon on the island. Todd does such using the ZERO-ONE, a camera, and several other gadgets.
