Unburden (Japanese: かるわざ Acrobatics) is an Ability introduced in Generation IV. Nine Pokémon have this Ability. Prior to Generation V, it was the signature Ability of Drifloon and Drifblim.
Effect
In battle
Unburden doubles the Pokémon's Speed stat when the Pokémon's held item is lost. If there is no held item to begin with or if a held item is traded for another, Unburden will not be activated.
In Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time and Explorers of Darkness, Unburden doubles the speed frequency, allowing the Pokémon to attack twice in one turn, as long as it does not hold an item.
Outside of battle
Unburden has no effect outside of battle.
