Orville (Japanese: オルドリン Aldrin) is a Pidgey who appeared in Fly Me to the Moon.
History
Orville lived on Pudgy Pidgey Isle. Unlike the other Pidgey that inhabited the island, Orville was in very good shape, and was the only one who could fly. Orville had dreams of flying higher than any Pidgey before him. His Trainer, Wilbur, believed in Orville and wanted to help him succeed.
Along with Ash, his friends and Team Rocket, Orville flew high into the sky. In fact, Orville flew so high, he almost died from loss of oxygen. Thanks to Pikachu's ThunderShock and an oxygen mask, Orville survived and was proud of his dream now accomplished.
Trivia
- Orville and Wilbur are named after the Wright brothers.
- Orville's Japanese name is derived from Buzz Aldrin, the second man on the moon.
