Holly, according to her, had already been grieving over the loss and depression of her father, Cacto, when the land became a dry valley. At first, they have a hard time getting Jirachi to come, but with encouragement from Ash, they finally get Jirachi to come. Holly finally gets to camly tell Jirachi of her valley's hardships and how Jirachi could help to restore it. Just when Jirachi finally gets to understand her, though, it is kidnapped by {{TRT}}, who had overheard Holly's intention to find Jirachi the first night. Though Jirachi manages to break free and send Team Rocket blasting off, it is badly weakened. While trying to revive Jirachi, Holly's father Cacto returns, to her suprise. Cacto tells Holly to return Jirachi to the shrine so it can rest. Though disappointed, Holly does so. Jirachi soon revives itself, however, to Holly's delight, and restores the valley to its fertality. Cacto and Holly are joyed, though Holly is said for Jirachi to leave and place itself back in its "egg". Holly's family then happily reunites.
