Team Robo is an official Play! Pokémon organization, a Pokémon Community based in Singapore. The site was originally founded by Ujin Yumeno on February 2, 2010, with its aim to unite Pokémon Fans in Singapore. Team Robo is currently led by Adrian Foo.
In line with Play! Pokémon events, Team Robo hosts regular League Events for the Pokémon Trading Card Game and Video Games, and publishes related event information on its website, forum and its Facebook page.
History
Team Robo was created by Ujin Yumeno, an avid video gamer since the age of six. Despite having played Pokémon Red and Pokémon Emerald before, Ujin did not realize a need for a Pokémon Community in Singapore until end 2009, when he was influenced into playing Pokémon TCG by his nephew. While Ujin was drawn into the competitive aspects of the TCG and was in search of more serious players, he soon realized that a Pokémon TCG player base actually existed in Singapore, but was scattered due to the lack of official support for the game. Ujin then created Team Robo, which was aimed at gathering as many TCG players as possible in Singapore.
In March 2010, Ujin learnt that Maxsoft Pte. Ltd., the official distributor of the Pokémon TCG, was organizing the first Pokémon TCG event in Singapore. Writing in to find out more details about the event, Ujin was then invited to become a judge as the organizers could not find a person that understood the TCG game mechanics as well he did.
During the event, Ujin realized the participants' devotion and passion towards the TCG, and with much enthusiasm, Ujin approached the organizers after the event to find out if they could do anything to maintain an interest in the Pokémon TCG in Singapore. Shortly after, Ujin was appointed as a League Organizer, and Team Robo become the Official Play! Pokémon Organization in Singapore. With support from the Team Robo committee, 8 Pokémon Gyms, places where TCG and video game players could gather and interact, were eventually opened by the end of 2010. [1]
The first major Pokémon-themed event held in Singapore took place in June 2010 at Millenia Walk, which was organized under the name of Maxsoft Pte. Ltd,. Following the success of the first event, Team Robo was eventually given more recognition, and the next major event that took place in December 2010 at Tampines Mall was then organized under the name of Team Robo.
On June 18, 2011, two more Gyms, Magnum and Eternal, were announced after the TCG National Championship 2011 Swiss Tournament. They would be located at GamesHaven and Ani-Play SG respectively. In late September, Aggro Gym had its name changed SmugLeaf, while Masters Gym was renamed Empyrean.
On April 11, 2012, Ujin announced that he would be stepping down as Head Judge due to health reasons. The management of Team Robo and the position of Head Judge was succeeded by Adrian Foo.[2]

Play! Pokémon League
Team Robo hosts weekly or bi-weekly Leagues[4]for both players of the Trading Card Game and Video Games to participate.
Following the concept of the Pokémon Gyms in the main series games, there are a total of 9 Gyms in Singapore, and they are overseen by a Pokémon Professor and a 'Gym Leader'. [5] As the player base for the video games in Singapore is relatively smaller as compared to the TCG, gatherings for the video game players are usually done only at the E2Max Gym.[6]
