If a non-Ghost mon could legitimately posess Mummy, then yes, it would behave normally even with Normal/Fighting contact moves, as long as there is no other impedence on its contact.

Mention of the abilities that are CHANGED by Mummy, but not AFFECTED by it. That is, because a Mummified Pokémon's ability changes back to normal when you switch out, abilities that only activate on switch-in and possibly those that activate on switch-out should function completely normally regardless of Mummy. Drizzle, Cloud Nine, Forewarn, Frisk etc. should all be in there. Sometime soon I'll check if Regenerator and Natural Cure still work like normal (That'll depend on whether Mummy goes away, or the game checks for switch-out-activated abilities first). I've noticed that none of the type matchup charts on Pokémon pages mention that immunities caused by Abilities would render the immunity useless if the Pokémon makes contact with a Pokémon with Mummy. Latest revision as of 06:05, 13 July 2013

So what does the ability actually DO, does it just take away the abilities of other Pokémon so they can't use them? Or is there some sort of effect that having the ability "Mummy" causes other than being able to pass the ability further. For example, does it cause burn or some other effect? Also, what about Illusion? Is the only thing it does is change the appearance of your Pokémon? --Landfish7 00:18, 28 October 2010 (UTC)

Yes to the first question regarding Mummy. Yes to Illusion. ~ solaris 00:19, 28 October 2010 (UTC)

Normal and Fighting

You seem to forget that not only can Muummy spread itself, but other Pokémon can also get it via Skill Swap, Trick and Role Play, so there are countless situations where a Pokémon that is not Ghost-type could have it. Also, Foresight, Odor Sleuth and Scrappy would make it possible to hit Ghost-type Pokémon with Normal- and Fighting-type moves. --SnorlaxMonster 03:25, 28 November 2010 (UTC)

Double/Triple Battles

Does this effect allies in double and triple battles, e.g. Sending out Cofagrigus and Slaking and having Slaking attack Cofagrigus in order to get rid of its Truant ability. --Landfish7 23:57, 9 February 2011 (UTC)

Multitype

Something that ought to be here

Mention of the abilities that are CHANGED by Mummy, but not AFFECTED by it. That is, because a Mummified Pokémon's ability changes back to normal when you switch out, abilities that only activate on switch-in and possibly those that activate on switch-out should function completely normally regardless of Mummy. Drizzle, Cloud Nine, Forewarn, Frisk etc. should all be in there. Sometime soon I'll check if Regenerator and Natural Cure still work like normal (That'll depend on whether Mummy goes away, or the game checks for switch-out-activated abilities first). Type Matchup Charts

I've noticed that none of the type matchup charts on Pokémon pages mention that immunities caused by Abilities would render the immunity useless if the Pokémon makes contact with a Pokémon with Mummy. I mean, not everyone knows about Mummy, for example first-time players of Black & White or B2W2. This was mentioned on Rotom's talk page by another user, but it has not received any responses, and I felt that this was a more appropriate place to mention it. I apologize in advance if I'm just not thinking and there's a perfectly obvious reason why the information isn't on the charts... KyuremsIceBlade 22:51, 27 March 2013 (UTC)

It is listed underneath; rather than listing every possible way of replacing the Ability (Worry Seed, Simple Beam, Mummy, etc.), the chart just says "If [...] this Pokémon's Ability is replaced, the effectiveness of <type>-type moves is <effectiveness>." --SnorlaxMonster 06:05, 13 July 2013 (UTC)

Mummy and Sturdy

I was wondering, what would happen if a Pokemon with mummy did a one-hit knockout against a Pokemon with Sturdy? Prisoner123 (talk) 05:09, 13 July 2013 (UTC)

Nothing, because it only activates when the Pokemon that gets it has the Ability. Ataro (talk) 05:52, 13 July 2013 (UTC)
