The Player Search System, or PSS for short, is an item that appears in Generation VI and is the Pokémon X and Y version of the C-Gear. It has many different functions including GTS, Wonder Trade, O-Powers and more.
Global Trade Station
In Generation VI the Global Trade Station can now be accessed in many more places than just Pokémon Centres in Generation V or the Global Terminal/GTS building in Generation IV.
Wonder Trade
Wonder Trade allows players to trade Pokémon for another one without even knowing what he or she is going to get. This means that using Wonder Trade is a risk as the player could get a very rare or a very common Pokémon.
O-Powers
O-Powers are very similar to Pass Powers, as they give power ups, increase/decrease chances of things happening, and can be shared with other players. In addition, if one is used nearby by another player, the player can use it as well.
Shout Outs
Shout Outs are messages sent to everyone connected to the player's game, whether they are the player's friends or someone who happened to be connected to the internet at the same time as the player.
