==How to create a new page==
In order to create a Bulbapedia article, you must type in the address bar the following: <nowiki>http://www.bulbagarden.net/pedia/</nowiki>
Creating a new page is simple enough - type in the title of page in a search box, and press the '''Go''' button (not Search). At the top of the search results there will be a link to start editing that page. However, a user must have spent some time editing other pages before they're permitted to make their own page from scratch. During this time, new users are encouraged to get to know the {{bp|Manual of style}} and learn what makes or breaks a good article.

After the pedia/, you can type in the title of the page you would like to createThis, in turn, will bring you to that page, where it will say that there is no text.  The "edit" tab may be pressed, at which time you may edit the page to add text.
==Things to remember==
All Bulbapedia article titles not beginning with a number will have the first letter capitalized.  If you were to go to gold_version, it would be interpreted as 'Gold version'.  Note that the v in 'version' would ''not'' be capitalized unless specifiedApostrophes will work in the link, i.e. <nowiki>http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Bulbagarden's_history</nowiki>. However, it's advisable to not use apostrophes as they can generally be avoided in the title, as in the above case by just titling it "History of Bulbagarden".

===Examples===
Page title conventions in the Wiki community dictate that all proper nouns are capitalized regardless of their placement in a title, whereas all other words are not capitalized.  Therefore, in a title, Pikachu, Lt. Surge, and Vermilion City would all be capitalized, but a page entitled "Electric surge" would not have the 's' in surge capitalized.  Book or game titles are considered proper nouns.
For instance, to create a Bulbapedia page about DVs, I would type in my address bar: <nowiki>http://www.bulbagarden.net/pedia/DVs</nowiki>, and then proceed to edit that page.

For something with two words, for instance Pallet Town, it would be <nowiki>http://www.bulbagarden.net/pedia/Pallet_Town</nowiki>
Please read the [[Bulbapedia:Policy|policy page]] and the [[Bulbapedia:Manual_of_style|manual of style]] before you  create or edit an article, so that you might not do more harm than good.

How to create a new page

Creating a new page is simple enough - type in the title of page in a search box, and press the Go button (not Search). At the top of the search results there will be a link to start editing that page. However, a user must have spent some time editing other pages before they're permitted to make their own page from scratch. During this time, new users are encouraged to get to know the Manual of style and learn what makes or breaks a good article.

Things to remember

All Bulbapedia article titles not beginning with a number will have the first letter capitalized. If you were to go to gold_version, it would be interpreted as 'Gold version'. Note that the v in 'version' would not be capitalized unless specified. Apostrophes will work in the link, i.e. http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Bulbagarden's_history. However, it's advisable to not use apostrophes as they can generally be avoided in the title, as in the above case by just titling it "History of Bulbagarden".

Please read the policy page and the manual of style before you create or edit an article, so that you might not do more harm than good.

And above all, don't be discouraged! Your help and contributions to this project is appreciated more than you know.
