Due to special coding in place in the article, the artwork featured on this article will change every year on February 27, September 1, and September 30 in celebration of the releases of Red and Green in Japan, and Red and Blue in the United States. This will only affect the artwork shown in the infobox. This changes every year, so when the time comes, here to return to the page and change the display. |
Platinum sprite
Just so you all know, Weedle's platinum sprite is different than his DP sprite.

Generation I
Weedle's "feet" in Generation I are on its back instead of the Bottom in the artwork. --Moretacos 00:31, 20 January 2010 (UTC)
Trivia
There is a litle mistake in trivia were says that other pokemon can evolve as low as level 2, this is actually true, but there are also pokemon that can evolve as low as level 1 (like porygon or roselia) so its more accurate to put level 1 Luord 01:15, 21 April 2010 (UTC)Luord
No disambig?
What do we do for Pokémon that don't have a disambiguation page? --Landfish7 17:29, 14 November 2010 (UTC)
- Nothing. For example, Weedle already redirects to Weedle (Pokémon).----無限の知性 ◎ DENNOU◆ZENSHI 17:31, 14 November 2010 (UTC)
Name Origin
Has anyone ever considered that Weedle's name may be a corruption of the word, "wheedle"? Igglybuff63 21:58, 24 February 2011 (UTC)
GTS Ban?
I'd like someone to double-check this, but I'm pretty sure Weedle's English name is banned much like Cofagrius's name is on the GTS (I assume due to potential marijuana references?). I attempted to trade my Weedle several times and I was told it was not able to be traded. When I nicknamed it, it was then tradeable. JacobCrystal 18:39, 15 July 2011 (UTC)
Trivia Notability
"Despite most of its Generation III Pokédex entries mentioning its acute sense of smell, Weedle cannot learn Odor Sleuth." I was wondering if this was notable. I thought I read somewhere that it wasn't, or that I saw something similar removed recently. However, I can't seem to find it again. I think it may have been on a page that isn't mainspaced or something. I figured "better safe than sorry" and would ask about it. Thanks! Crystal Talian 04:37, 15 January 2012 (UTC)
- No, that kind of trivia is not notable. ★Jo the Marten★ ಠ_ಠ♥ 04:46, 15 January 2012 (UTC)
