Has Take Down or the Normal-type been changed in generation 6? Reason i ask is I'm fighting Grant's Amaura and Take Down was super effective against my Simisage but not very effective against my Panpour. It sounds like the reaction Aurora Beam would have given, but the game said the Pokémon used Take Down. -Bomyne (talk) 11:37, 2 November 2013 (UTC) | Has Take Down or the Normal-type been changed in generation 6? Nevermind. I didn't take Amaura's ability, Refrigerate into account. Sorry! -Bomyne (talk) 11:40, 2 November 2013 (UTC) | Nevermind. That looks like a generation-I-only effect to me. Should the generation effect header split thingy go there? -- EnosShayremtalk 10:37, 2 April 2014 (UTC) |

Do Pokémon with Rock Head as an Ability prevent recoil damage by Take Down? Kenn1985
YES. Rock Head prevents all recoil damage barring Life Orb, Shadow Rush (colosseum), and Shadow End (XD). And Struggle. Missingno. Master 16:20, 25 December 2007 (UTC)
- The reason I'm asking is because I wonder if it's something worth writing in the article. Or maybe it's not necessary. Kenn1985
What happens if the recoil from Take Down kills your last pokemon after it kills your opponent? how does the battle end? --Twilightdusk 00:21, 2 April 2010 (UTC)
- You're left with two dead Pokémon on your conscience.
- If you mean knockouts, I'm pretty sure that's a Loss in 1-player, and you lose the money too. I've not experienced it against a human. Colintron 16:55, 24 April 2010 (UTC)
Anime
Jessie's Arbok used Take down in You're a Star, Larvitar, and similar to Oscar and Andi's Nidoqueen and Nidoking using Submission, Take Down was no longer a TM in the Johto saga". User:Lucario985 Chowolun 18:23, 23 February 2012 (UTC)
James's Victreebel
Shouldn't we include his Victreebel with the Moves in the Anime seciton? - unsigned comment from Confusion (talk • contribs)
Cloyster
Why Cloyster can't pass down move from purified Shellder? Evolution prevents passing down egg move? The TM breeding has Cloyster. Also fixed the subtitle thing (or not, stupid lagging), that's not chain breeding. Chain breeding has multiple steps. This has one. An example of chain breeding is Wish - Togetic can pass down it on Skitty, which can then pass it on Eevee, Girafarig or Spinda, but Togetic can't pass down the move to any of the three directly, only via Skitty. Type effectiveness?
Has Take Down or the Normal-type been changed in generation 6? Reason i ask is I'm fighting Grant's Amaura and Take Down was super effective against my Simisage but not very effective against my Panpour. It sounds like the reaction Aurora Beam would have given, but the game said the Pokémon used Take Down. -Bomyne (talk) 11:37, 2 November 2013 (UTC)
