Trivia
- As the GS Cup rules is only exclusive to HeartGold and SoulSilver, GS (like the GS Ball) may stand for "Gold and Silver".
- The 2010 Pokémon Video Game Championship only uses HeartGold and SoulSilver versions as they are the only versions that have the GS Cup rule set and were released in 2010, the same year as the VGC.
