Mairin's Mega Evolution Journal (Japanese: マノンのメガシンカ絵日記 Manon's Mega Evolution Journal) is a post-credits segment of the anime's XY series that debuted in the original version of Battling Into the Hall of Fame!, comparable with Professor Oak's Pokémon Holo Caster. It features chibi versions Mairin and Chespie as they present footage of Mega Pokémon, mostly ones that debuted in Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. At times, Alain and his Mega Charizard join in and co-commentate. These Pokémon are often ones that Alain and Charizard fought during their journey.
Sometimes, instead of Mairin, Steven appears to present instead. Steven's lectures often feature Legendary Pokémon, such as Mega Latias and Latios. XY044 and XY054's lectures weres provided by the narrator of the Mega Evolution specials.
Mairin's Mega Evolution Journal only plays on the initial airings of episodes. All subsequent airings use Professor Oak's Pokémon Holo Caster.
