I can confirm the Pokemon TCG legal in KSA and UAE, and probably other countries too, at the present time. There's a shop in KSA selling Pokemon TCG cards (http://tcgmaster.sa.com/categories/%D8%A8%D9%88%D9%83%D9%8A%D9%85%D9%88%D9%86/), no clue if other shops sell it in there as I don't live there. Also another in UAE sells them (http://www.battlezone.me/). [[User:Khaldood|Khaldood]] ([[User talk:Khaldood|talk]]) 09:20, 11 July 2015 (UTC) |

Does anyone know why, exactly, the Grand Mufti of Saudi Arabia believes Pokemon promotes Zionism? That doesn't make any sense to me. Where in Pokemon does anything remotely related to Israel appear? Jedibob5 16:56, 5 July 2011 (UTC)

- An anecdote from my friend who lived in Saudi Arabia at the time:
If I remember it was because we'd play the card games and winner would grab a card at random from the opponent. That was "gambling", and the nutty Muttawas picked up on it. It was a good example of how even us young indoctrinated kids were like: "fuck, muttawas are batshit insane. Charizard defo doesn't mean, 'death to muhammad' in Hebrew..."
- My two cents: The real reason was that Pokemon promotes darwinism. Capncanuck (talk) 02:24, 6 December 2014 (UTC)
