Release information
This Tretta was awarded as a prize at the Pokémon Center Limited Mega Evolution Battle, held between January 31 and February 15, 2015 at participating Pokémon Centers in Japan. The focal Pokémon for this challenge was Charizard, which would Mega Evolve into Mega Charizard X at the start of the battle. As with previous events, entrants were tasked to defeat the focal Pokémon in one of three possible teams of three Pokémon. These teams are detailed below.
Players who managed to defeat Mega Charizard X were awarded this Tretta. Players who did not manage to defeat it were given either a Pikachu, Meloetta, or Keldeo (originally certification meeting prizes) at random. Unlike previous events, only two Tretta were required to participate, with the third taken up by a special Tyranitar Trophy Tretta belonging to Tretta Leader Kent. This Tretta was capable of Mega Evolution and could use the move Stone Edge. A prerequisite condition for players wishing to participate was that they use at least one Tretta capable of Mega Evolution, not including Tyranitar. If the player chose to Mega Evolve Tyranitar during the battle, this did not limit the player Mega Evolving one of his or her own Pokémon, making the event the only Tretta environment to have two possible Mega Evolved Pokémon in play.
This Tretta was available again as part of the Trophy Pokemon Torretta Present Campaign, which took place at participating Pokémon Centers and Pokémon Stores across Japan on December 12, 13, 19, 20, 23, 26 and 27, 2015. Visitors who played at least 1 game of Pokémon Tretta or purchased 1 eligible item of Pokémon Tretta merchandise were given 1 of 6 Trophy Tretta at random.
