The Mega Evolution Pokédex Shorts (Japanese: マノンのメガシンカ絵日記 Mairin's Mega Evolution Journal) is a series of shorts that introduce mostly Mega Pokémon that debuted in Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. It originally aired as a post-credits segment of the original version of the anime's XY series. They aired from Battling Into the Hall of Fame! to Facing the Grand Design! (including the delayed An Undersea Place to Call Home!), airing in place of Professor Oak's Pokémon Holo Caster. The segments were dubbed and aired on the Pokémon TV service.
The Mega Evolution Pokédex Shorts feature chibi versions of Mairin and Chespie as they present the shorts and commentated. Usually, Alain and his Mega Charizard X join in and co-commentate. These Pokémon are often ones that Alain and Charizard fought during their journey.
