Really a filefish?
Is it not more likely to be based on the Reef triggerfish? Not only is it quite well-known as Hawaii's state fish, but the general shape and patterns of it seems to be a better fit as well. Coolest (talk) 17:15, 30 June 2016 (UTC)
- IMO its shape (the protrusion on its head) is much more like a filefish, and there are some more colorful filefish; and though there do appear to be some depictions of Reef triggerfish like Hagigishiri, the real fish doesn't seem to look much like it as near as I can tell...
- But it also could be a bit of both. Tiddlywinks (talk) 17:26, 30 June 2016 (UTC)
- Reef triggerfish do have the head protrusion, it's just not as prominent as a filefish's. Also, the triggerfish has very densely packed teeth, which seems to be one of Hagigishiri's main design elements. Coolest (talk) 17:43, 30 June 2016 (UTC)
- Filefish are apparently fairly closely related to triggerfish. Anyway, it at least sounds reasonable to name drop both. So done. Tiddlywinks (talk) 18:19, 30 June 2016 (UTC)

English Names
So footage from the English version of Sun/Moon was leaked and it showed Hagigishiri's English name is Bruxish and Vivid Body's name is Dazzling. Since Hagigishiri has been officially revealed, I'd say it's safe to say that footage was legitimate. So can we change the names of the pages? --Sir Jolteon (talk) 01:35, 1 July 2016 (UTC)
- The English names were leaked, not officially revealed like the Japanese names were. So no, we won't be moving the pages until the English names have feen officially released.--ForceFire 04:18, 1 July 2016 (UTC)
Name Origin
Bruxish's name can also be based on the word "bruxa", which means "witch" in Portuguese. It makes sense due to its types.
