I saw you Destiny Knot thing...maybe give the male it and see if that changes things? Also try a batch without th knot Yamitora1 (talk) 13:21, 6 February 2014 (UTC)
I spent 3 hours on Route 22 in the yellow flowers (need waterfall to reach) trying to find a male Litleo. Not only is the rarity level for Litleos in the area laughably incorrect (average my @$$ - out of the 200+ pokemon I encountered, I saw less than 10 Litleos), but males in general seem to be f***ING nonexistent. I then spent another 2 hours hatching 50+ Litleo eggs and got a grand total of Zero F***ING MALES!!!!!!!!! If anyone has the magical powers apparently needed to get one of these please let me know. I'm going to stop trying before I can no longer resist the urge to see what happens when I put my 3DS into the blender and press "puree"...  --Ulithium Dragon (talk) 06:13, 25 March 2014 (UTC)
Origin
Litleo's Shiny coloration looks like a White Lion Cub, a cub who has white coloration, so is it worth to add on the origin that its shiny coloration may be a reference? Esquilo30 (talk) 12:14, 9 March 2015 (UTC)
Gender Ratio
After hatching 335 Litleo over the course a month, I've collected exactly 42 males and 293 females. This makes the percentage of male Litleo about 12.5%, meaning that Litleo's gender ratio is actually 1:7. As such, I'm going to change that now. Name origin

The Lit may also refer to a lit match. CoolDudeAl (talk) 14:58, 14 June 2013 (UTC)

I concur. That was my initial thought when I saw the name. --Gioku 23:47, 31 July 2013 (UTC)

Manticore relation?

Someone made a valid point ([1]) that the end of his tail looks suspiciously like a Manticore's. We probably won't have any confirmation on that until evolutions come out, but I think it's a high possibility.- unsigned comment from Dakar (talkcontribs)

You pretty much answered to your own question.--Den Zen 14:53, 21 June 2013 (UTC)

Gender Issue

I think the article should refraim from mentioning any Gender based items until we know more about this Pokémon. For all we know, its a male only species. or the females might be totally different. Yamitora1 (talk) 19:06, 23 June 2013 (UTC)

Korean name for Litleo

Its Korean name is 레오꼬 Re'okko.

 • It's a mix of its Japanese name and its English name; 레오 re'o is "Leo" (lion), 꼬 kko is from 꼬마 kkoma meaning "tiny thing", "small child", etc.
 • Incidentally, 꼬리 kkori means "tail", but I think that's just a coincidence. -- Nick15 (talk) 18:30, 11 July 2013 (UTC)

Type combination

I think it's worth mentioning - like with other pages - that litleo's type combination is unique. Benjabby (talk) 16:37, 12 July 2013 (UTC)

We have to wait till the entire dex is out. Because there could be a new mon that isn't related to Litleo but has the same typing. --Antlionerd (talk) 23:03, 12 July 2013 (UTC)

ability is confirmed

unnerve is confirmed at the pgs 0danmaster0 (talk) 11:57, 17 August 2013 (UTC)

Special Abilities verb tense

"In battle, its red bang radiates heat, and when up against a strong opponent, the temperature increased." 'Increased' should be 'increases'. Nit-picking, but I can't edit pages yet. Josephdean21 (talk) 13:05, 27 August 2013 (UTC)

Evolution

It evolves into Pyroar, please update the page. Digifiend (talk) 16:10, 12 September 2013 (UTC)

We know that Pyroar is "an" evolution of Litleo, but we don't know whether Litleo evolves into it or if there is a middle evolution between them. The page as it currently stands is making the assumption that there is no middle evolution (it has Pyroar in the PrevNext header and "It evolves into Pyroar"). Pumpkinking0192 (talk) 18:15, 12 September 2013 (UTC)
The IGN article that revealed it states that it evolves from Litleo. --It's Funktastic~!話してください 18:19, 12 September 2013 (UTC)
Not to mention the trailer included in the article says "Litleo evolves into Pyroar" Jo the Marten ಠ_ಠ 18:21, 12 September 2013 (UTC)
Someone needs to correct the Bulbanews article, then. It just says "Pyroar is an evolved form of Litleo" as though there's ambiguity. Pumpkinking0192 (talk) 19:12, 12 September 2013 (UTC)

Filing in template blanks...

Anyone have some leads on the following tidbits?

 • Gender ratio
 • Hatching time

I personally have a hunch that the gender ratio might be 75% female (but that's just an opinion because I found a lot of females before spotting a single male lion). Both can be verified experimentally if needed (anyone care to volunteer?) --Stratelier 03:48, 27 November 2013 (UTC)

Gender Ratio

I believe that there might be a higher chance to find female Litleos than Male Litleos. I was looking for a Litleo for my team, and I probably encountered around twenty to twenty-five Litleos. None of them were male. Has anyone else noticed this? ShinyMew9001 (talk) 14:40, 28 November 2013 (UTC)

I too have noticed this. Sadly I wonder traded my male Litleo, now all i find is females. and in the friend Safari all I find is female Pyroars. Yamitora1 (talk) 18:12, 23 December 2013 (UTC)
