This disk was available as part of the Pokémon Center Sapporo Renewal Commemoration "Let's Play the Limited Course" Campaign held at all Pokémon Centers and Pokémon Stores across Japan between December 8, 2016 and January 9, 2017. Pokémon Ga-Olé machines at these locations were updated during this period to include a Pokémon Center Special Course, in which Pikachu could be encountered and caught.
Trivia
The special disks available in the Pokémon Center Special Course reflect the updated mascots of Pokémon Center Sapporo after its reopening on December 1, 2016.
