| My first Pokémon game was [[Pokémon Sapphire]] and I fell in love with it. I went to my local GameStop and immediately bought [[Pokémon Blue]] and [[Pokémon Yellow]], which I found fun, but not as appealing as Sapphire. Something about the [[Hoenn]] region and its native Pokémon has always intrigued me, so I can say that [[Generation III]] is my favorite -- it's the only Generation that I've bought ALL games for (the Hoenn region games were the best, IMO, I didn't really like [[Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen]].

| I remember popping in Sapphire, and playing for hours on end. I remember trying to catch numerous {{p|Zigzagoon}} and {{p|Wurmple}}, up until the point where I’m getting pretty ticked off that I can’t catch ANYTHING. I finally caught my first Pokémon; a {{p|Whismur}}. And oddly enough, it’s remained my favorite Pokémon since. Like, its stats suck, but I never evolve it into {{p|Loudred}} because I seem to have some sort of connection with it haha. It’s weird, I know...
