:100, 200 or 300 is just the move's [[power]], but there are many more things that affect {{DL|Damage|damage calculation}}. There's usually a random number during damage calculation, which is why moves always have a range of possible damage values. The odd thing for Spit Up is that its damage isn't varied by a random number in Generations III and IV—if you repeatedly use it against the same Pokémon (with the same power, for example 100), you will always get the exact same amount of damage. It changed in Generation V, so you now have a range of possible damage values—as you have for almost every other move. 3 stages

Is there any other move (except Swallow) capable of lowering stat by 3 stages? Because the text is that:

  • +-1 - Nothing
  • +2 - sharply
  • +3 - drastically
  • +6 - immensely (according to Wonder Launcher)
  • -2 - harshly
  • -3 - ? (Spit Up or Swallow after 3 Stockpiles, Gen IV beyond... probably the only two moves capable of lowering stat by 3 stages)
