This article is about the evolution items. For the sweet flavor, see Flavor. For other uses, see Sweet (disambiguation).

Sweets (Japanese: アメざいく Amezaiku) are a group of held items that were introduced in Generation VIII. They allow Milcery to evolve into Alcremie.

Mechanics

When Sweets are held by a Milcery, if the player spins the control stick to where they spin then stop to strike Leon's Charizard pose, Milcery will evolve into Alcremie. This consumes the held Sweet.

Alcremie's sweet "hair decoration" and eye color directly depends on the Sweet used, whereas Alcremie's forms depends on the time of day, the length of the spin, and the direction of the spin. If the Milcery in question is Shiny, the resulting Shiny Alcremie's form would always look the same, regardless of what form it has, with only the Sweet used to evolve the Milcery forming any real distinct difference.

Acquisition

In Pokémon Sword and Shield, the player can obtain the Strawberry, Love, Berry, Clover, and Flower Sweets by winning at a Battle Café. All Sweets can be obtained by completing Wild Area News-exclusive Milcery Max Raid Battles (held from January 31 to February 6, 2020); this is the only way to obtain the Ribbon and Star Sweets.

Additionally, in Pokémon Sword and Shield, the player can obtain a single Strawberry Sweet in Hammerlocke.
