Prior to FireRed & LeafGreen arc
Green obtained her Tri-Pass and Rainbow Pass in order to travel to the Sevii Islands and catch Moltres on Mt. Ember.
FireRed & LeafGreen arc
In My, My, My Mimic, Red and Blue each obtained a Rainbow Pass sent to them by Bill, using them to board the Seagallop Ferry to Four Island.
