This was removed because there was "no proof", but it does not appear the person who removed it tested it before removing it. I will probably test this in the next few days. So if I add it back it will be because it is true. If it is false I will update here saying so. Hi, for some reason this recently came up again, and when you Google "difference between Huge Power and Pure Power," the first thing that comes up is this claim, which was cited by other sites, presumably relying on the edit made by Male Gardevoir here to Bulbapedia, which lasted almost 4 years before being removed for lack of proof. Ctom42 noted potentially testing it and reporting back but never did. I have [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BpI_SkSzVjg tested and recorded] the claim on Platinum, and it is demonstrably false. I tested with Platinum because the edit was made on April 2, 2009, when Platinum was the most recent game. The details are in the description, but the video demonstrates that when Huge Power is Skill Swapped to another Pokémon, it will not deal damage with a 1.5x multiplier (consistent with Guts damage), but instead a 2x multiplier (consistent with Pure Power damage). There is, and never has been, a mechanical difference between Huge Power and Pure Power. I can test in RSE as well if for some reason that's necessary. If a Pokémon has Huge Power, is its Attack double what's shown on its stats page? Or does the stats page account for it and show the actual value? ⬡ (talk) 23:42, 12 May 2014 (UTC)
Halved effect?
The following used to be on this page.
"If this Ability is Skill Swapped, copied with Role Play or Traced, the effect is halved, boosting the Attack stat only by a 1.5x multiplier and not doubling. This is the only difference from the similar Ability, Pure Power."
This was removed because there was "no proof", but it does not appear the person who removed it tested it before removing it. I will probably test this in the next few days. So if I add it back it will be because it is true. If it is false I will update here saying so. Ctom42 (talk) 04:24, 22 July 2014 (UTC)

"Muscleman"
Is this really the correct translation of ちからもち Chikaramochi/Chikara mochi? It seems like "Power Mochi" would be better. LittleOmu (talk) 05:53, 17 August 2016 (UTC)
- 力持ち Chikaramochi is a Japanese word that means "Muscle man". Power Mochi doesn't really make sense in this context, so even though it would fit the kana, it can be disregarded as a possible intended meaning. --SnorlaxMonster 09:53, 17 August 2016 (UTC)
