:::::Well, remember. You can't get the Old Rod until Vermilion, you spend at least {{PDollar}}200 on Poké Balls, which don't have a sure chance of nabbing it, and then you have to train that Magikarp while training for an upcoming match with a {{type2|Electric}} Gym Leader. So yes, there is an advantage. You get all of the extra time to train the Karp. - But does it have any other advantages, besides not having to fish? File:Ani164MS.gifShinyTalk | ContribsFile:Ani408MS.gifFile:Ani410MS.gif 12:20, 26 October 2007 (UTC)
