Pikachu is Ash's only known Pokémon. Pikachu is loosely based on Pikachu from the anime. Pikachu appears for the first time battling a Trainer's Cubone, the collision of it's attack with Cubone's ends up disorienting a Celebi that was close to the battle arena.
Pikachu's known moves are Thunderbolt, Iron Tail and Quick Attack.
The narrator says that both Trainers were using their last Pokémon, which indicates that Ash has at least one more Pokémon.
