Release information
This card was included as a Regular card, a Full Art card, and as a Secret card in the Sword & Shield expansion, first released in the Japanese Shield expansion, each with artwork by aky CG Works. A Jumbo version of the Regular print lacking its type, Weakness, Resistance, retreat cost, Ability, Energy cost, and Evolution Stage was available in the Galar Collection from November 15, 2019. It was reprinted as one of the SWSH Black Star Promos with different artwork by the same artist and was available in the Legends of Galar Tins from May 22, 2020. This print was subsequently available in the Japanese Shiny Star V subset. A gold Full Art SWSH Black Star Promo print, also with artwork by aky CG Works, was available in the Sword & Shield Ultra-Premium Collection—Zacian & Zamazenta and Sword & Shield Elite Trainer Box Plus—Zamazenta from November 20, 2020. This print was also included in the Japanese Shiny Star V subset.
In Japan, the Sword & Shield Regular print was reprinted in the Zacian & Zamazenta vs Eternatus Special Deck Set and the VMAX Climax subset. The Zacian & Zamazenta vs Eternatus Special Deck Set also included a Secret Full Art print depicting the Shiny version of Zamazenta with artwork once again by aky CG Works. A Full Art Secret card with artwork by Ryuta Fuse featuring Hop was included in the Astral Radiance expansion, which was also released in the VMAX Climax subset.
