(Japanese: 最高潮!決戦前夜サトシVSダンデ!! Climax! The Night Before the Decisive Battle! Satoshi VS Dande!!) is the 128th episode of Pokémon Journeys: The Series, and the 1,213th episode of the Pokémon anime. It first aired in Japan on October 14, 2022.
Plot
The "Pokémon World Coronation Series News" makes a broadcast before the finals of the Masters Eight Tournament, with Mr. Daimonji, a battle reviewer, acting as a special guest. After a brief recap of the Masters Eight and the results of the quarterfinals, the semifinals matches of Leon versus Diantha and Ash versus Cynthia are given more detailed recaps, accompanied by commentary from Mr. Daimonji, who analyzes on the strategies used in each match.
With the final match of Ash versus Leon having been set up, both of their full teams are introduced, including the three Pokémon that Leon hasn't yet used in the tournament: Cinderace, Inteleon, and Mr. Rime. The clip show concludes with a recap of Ash and Leon's first, unofficial battle, which ended with them promising each other to have an official battle later, a promise that is now about to be fulfilled.
