Hi, while I understand that Paldea is based off the Iberian peninsula, but that doesn't mean literally every Gen IX Pokémon is based off of something from there. Not every Unova Pokémon is based off something from New York after all. So do try to take a step back and not try too hard to find any Spanish or Portuguese influence into all the Gen IX Pokémon. Thank you.--[[User:Force Fire|<span style="color:#44BAE5">'''F'''</span><span style="color:#85D2EE">orce</span>]][[User talk:Force Fire|<span style="color:#DA7D99">'''F'''</span><span style="color:#E7ABBD">ire</span>]] 01:28, 7 December 2022 (UTC)

Hi!! Yes, I know not everything in the Gen has to necessary be Iberian related/inspired (or, at least, at first sight), but we know Pokémon/GF takes lots of inspirations from the country the region is based on (especially on latest gens), and that they can be very convoluted with a Pokémon design, taking into consideration lots of things into each one (animals, objects, myths, concepts, etc.). So, it's not too precipitous to think there could be lots of possible inspirations (and I remark ''possible'', it was never my intention to confirm as official any of the things I've written) that are taken directly from Spanish and Portuguese culture. It's speculation about the Pokémon possible origins, anything confirmed, so, as long as it makes sense and is reasonable, why not taking it into consideration in the trivia tab? Some of the things I've written that has been retired make much more sense that the things there were before (for example, is it not possible for Skeledirge to take inspiration from the Cocollona, a literal ghost crocodile from Spain, but it is perfectly fine to say that it draws inspiration from a Mariachi, when It has no ressemblence to one apart from the fact that both sing?), so I don't really know then the criteria that is followed in the design inspiration part of the Pokémon entry, knowing, as I said before, it's all speculation. I find it a little bit contradictory and confusing.
I know I've been adding lots of things in very few days (I must say I'm a bit excited to finally been able to contribute, I really like Pokémon design theory, and have been reading Bulbapedia as main source to inform myself about the Pokémon possible inspirations and background), but I must say I'm from Spain, I'm not talking from ignorance, if that make you a bit more relieved. The Spanish and Portuguese Pokémon community is very active in terms of design speculation, we see lots of inspirations in designs that all the rest overlook and never take into account, but are really obvious to us. All things I've added are well thought and meditated (they do not appear from nowhere) that I never confirm as official and only add to the speculation thing with rich contributions, I don't see the bad side of the stuff I have been putting. I've never removed information (apart from the Mariachi thing in Skeledirge), I've only added to entries who precisely rely on speculation and knowledge/investigation which has to be made outside of the games themselves.
Besides all of this, I'm truly sorry if I've caused any kind of problems, and I hope you take into consideration all the points I've said in this reply. And if you ever need the reasoning behind any of the things I add/write to see if it makes sense being considered, please just let me know and I'll kindly explain it. Thank you!
