Haruto

(Japanese: Haruto) is a character of the day who appeared in JNS05.

Haruto met Ash when he was looking for his Pikachu that had gone missing during the night. Haruto led Ash over to where Team Rocket were and watched as Ash freed Pikachu before sending them blasting off.

After introducing themselves, Haruto joined Ash on his journey before they came across a house after being chased by a group of Beedrill. Haruto disappeared when Ash met the owners of the house, reappearing after Ash had left. Haruto watched as a group of Mankey wore a blue hat which Ash managed to retrieve in exchange for his own hat. As Ash approached the house from before, Haruto disappeared after leading him there and Ash discovered the owners he met were Haruto's parents but Haruto was actually dead. Haruto reappeared alongside his parents as they were saying goodbye to Ash.
