Distribution
The AuroraTicket was distributed during various Pokémon-related events and occasions in Japan, the United States, Mexico, and select European countries.
All possible language and version combinations of Pokémon Emerald and Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen were capable of obtaining this event, with one exception. Due to all Japanese-compatible AuroraTicket distributions taking place between April 17 to August 31, 2004, (before Emerald was released, the distribution software at that time only had support for FireRed and LeafGreen), and all subsequent distributions being incompatible with Japanese game cartridges, Japanese language copies of Emerald were not capable of receiving this event.[1]
Electronic Game Show Giveaway
In Mexico, the AuroraTicket was distributed during the Electronic Game Show 2004, a video game convention that took place at the World Trade Center of Mexico City from October 22 to 24. The distribution event was a joint collaboration between Club Nintendo Mexico, Nintendo of America and Pokémex. To get the Ticket, players had to visit the Pokémon booth in the convention with their Game Boy Advance, a cartridge of Pokémon FireRed or LeafGreen and a Game Boy Advance Wireless Adapter.
