::: Um Rockersk08 does Charizard's list of moves really matter in this case. It's the anime so of course a Pokemon is likely display more than 4 moves over it's course of Tenure on the show. How is that any different than in the games when you sometimes have to delete a move for a new one. After all you're X Pokemon may not know tackle anymore, but it used to. I was going to argue that hyper beam was just showing how even when battling you can learn a new move by replacing it, but if Lycos is sure it used 5 moves as a Kingler using hyper beam first and then the other 4 moves, than never mind. In which case I'll argue that it's the anime. Which will allow a little bit more every once in awhile--Dman dustin 00:22, 5 March 2010 (UTC)

Incineroar also evolved in a league match?
What is the consensus of the post-league exhibition match between Ash and Professor Kukui? I feel like even though it is part of the ceremony of the event, it isn't part of the league itself. Because it takes place after the league, after the award ceremony of the league and even has a separate trophy in case the league winner also won this match. The bulbapedia page on the topic seems to support this idea.
If this is the case, isn't it important there is some kind of asterisk in the piece of trivia which claims Incineroar also evolved in a league match? Satoshigeru (talk) 11:01, 21 February 2023 (UTC)

::But this is the point of my confusion. I don't feel like the exhibition match is fully part of the league. Also on bulbapedia I find the term "post-league".
::The bulbapedia page of the Manalo Conference also makes a clear distinction between both the League tournament and the exhibition match, claiming the tournament ended in the episode 'Enter the champion!' (SM139) and the exhibition match started in 'Exhibition Unmasked!' (SM141).
::I don't feel like the extra info about Incineroar's evolution should be deleted, however, I feel like it should at least be mentioned Incineroar's evolution took place in a post-league match. If that is how you guys see it, I will not try to add an asterisk any longer, even though I still don't think it is 100% correct. However, maybe someone should place some more clarification in some other pages on Bulbapedia. Because it at least implies the post-league match isn't part of the tournament in some citations, and at least once there is a literal division between the 2 events. Well, with DP182 airing and no Kingler in sight (..along with Tauros, Swellow and Sceptile), I decided to update Kingler's picture from when it was featured in AG133. Previous picture was terrible quality and was from the pre-digital coloring era, so I figured everything should at least match.--Cubic Question 13:10, 25 June 2010 (UTC)

Hyper Beam

Should it be noted that that after Krabby evolved into Kingler Ash somehow new instinctively that Kingler new Hyper Beam. Most Pokemon use new moves they learn on their own and then Ash says, "Wow (pokemon name here) you learned (new move), that's awesome.", or something like that, or they train with someone to learn a new move, or Ash finds out from his Pokedex, etc. I can believe that Krabby new Bubble, Water Gun, Vice Grip, Crabhammer even, but only fully evolved Pokemon can learn Hyper Beam. So I'm just wondering how Ash new Kingler could use it and if anything should be noted about that. - Ash1Ketchum4 19:12, 17 February 2011 (UTC)
