::The Wallace Cup, or rather Minaki Cup, since it hasn't aired in America yet, is the coordinator convention that recently aired in Japan that was headed by Minaki, or Wallace, the Hoenn League Champion and an elite Coordinator. It was May's response to the Mirage Kingdom/Togepi mini-arc in which Misty temporarily rejoined the cast back in Hoenn. This time, May rejoined to compete in the contest against Ash, Dawn, and Zoey as well as many others. Ash wore a formal attire in the episode that was similar (at least in my opinion) to his outfit back in March of the Exeggutor Squad. I'll look for the pictures - it's hard to find a good picture of Ash in his outfit from this old episode without stealing it from places like Pokemopolis (that's where I saw the picture that made me think they look quite similar).
