Jessie and James

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I've been thinking that maybe Jessie and James are "at least 25" instead of the current claim that they are exactly 25.

It appears that Jessie and James are currently said to be 25 years old based on that quote claiming that Ash and Misty are 10 years too young to focus on romance while Jessie and James are 5 years too old. But here's a question: 20 years old is considered the only exact age to focus on romance or is it just a lower bound of a range of possible ages?

For instance, if maybe 20-23 is the ideal age range to focus on romance, Jessie and James would be 28 years old based on that quote. Or if maybe 20-29 is the ideal range, Jessie and James would be 34. So all those possible ranges would be summed up as "at least 25". --Daniel Carrero (talk) 20:06, 15 October 2023 (UTC)

Jessie specifically is definitely older than 25, because in XY082 she mentions that her Pumpkaboo is the only one who remembered her birthday, which must have happened after she caught her. Minibug (talk) 20:38, 15 October 2023 (UTC)

Pretty sure James said they're "five years older that that", not "five years too old for that". But shouldn't this mean Jessie is 26 as of XY082? - unsigned comment from Inkster (talk • contribs)

It'd mean that she is at least 26. I'm with Daniel Carrero on this one, I don't think that one offhand comment means they're exactly 25 years old. Storm Aurora (talk) 06:25, 16 October 2023 (UTC)

Yes, I agree about her age being at least 26. So it was at least 25 at the time of that offhand comment about romance, and then it's currently at least 26 because of her birthday. The page currently says she is exactly 26 years old.

I'm also thinking that even her birthday may not be exactly proof that just 1 year passed for her. Maybe she could have had multiple birthdays and just mentioned that one. --Daniel Carrero (talk) 06:39, 26 October 2023 (UTC)
