Plot
The game is set entirely in Lumiose City[1] during a period of redevelopment into a city where humans and Pokémon can live in harmony.

The following Pokémon appeared in the reveal trailer: Arbok, Pikachu, Bellsprout, Onix, Pinsir, Gyarados, Eevee, Dragonair, Heracross, Tyranitar, Absol, Hippopotas, Sandile, Krokorok, Fletchling, Talonflame, Litleo, Pyroar, Flabébé, Gogoat, Pancham, Pangoro, Furfrou, Meowstic, Aegislash, Sylveon, Hawlucha, Klefki, and Noivern. In particular, Furfrou is one of the nine remaining Pokémon that was not programmed into any previous Nintendo Switch core series game.
Pokémon mechanics
Mega Evolution will be returning for the first time in a core series game since Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee!.
