While the meteors have something to do with Deoxys in the games, who knows what they do in the anime. First: follow the manual of style. It is all knowing. Praiiiiiise it.
Second: Shortlinks, gotta use 'em, especially for Pokémon pages.
Third: No baseless speculation. Sure, there's a likelihood that Paul caught Weavile as a Sneasel, since those things aren't found in the wild in the games, but it hasn't been shown what the conditions were under which he got that thing. TTEchidna

While the meteors have something to do with Deoxys in the games, who knows what they do in the anime.
