However, the wiki was originally known as PKWiki, from the prefix of various psychic powers in the series. The name came through a poll on the NIWA forums. On November 5, 2010, WikiBound eventually fulfilled its goal of joining NIWA. In addition, during December 2010, WikiBound also moved to its current address.
An Italian branch of WikiBound was formulated on January 26, 2019 and became part of the Italian branch of the Nintendo Independent Wiki Alliance known as NiwiN, alongside Pokémon Central Wiki.
