This article is intended to be moved into one of Bulbapedia's main content spaces. Be mindful that it is still part of a personal userspace. Any content changes should be brought up on the talk page for this article. |
Anyone may edit this page. The page needs a complete list of all their aliases, with what they were used for and ideally a picture. Also the tables should be streched across the whole page. |
Jessie, James and Meowth of Team Rocket often attempt to steal Pokémon using trickery and disguises. Sometimes their disguises are accompanied by a fake name, usually when the wish to compete in an activity without the public knowing of their criminal status. Many of times their aliases are other people, as they attempt to impersonate them. Ash and friends almost always believe they have met a new person when they encounter the disguised rouges before finding Team Rocket out, however, a few of Team Rocket's aliases have kept them fooled and still identify with them as different people, most notably Jessilina.
Jessie
Alias | First appearance | Biography |
---|---|---|
Jessica |
Come What May! | A Dustox-inspired guise that was used by Jessie during the Fallarbor Pokémon Contest.
"Jessica" battled against May and her Beautifly with a Dustox that could use a rainbow Tackle attack. However, the rainbows were actually coming from a special effect device controlled through a remote by Meowth, with the device being disguised as a bow tie on Dustox. "Jessica"'s cheating was soon exposed after the device was destroyed by Beautifly's attacks, and "Jessica" soon revealed herself as Jessie before she and the rest of Team Rocket were blasted off by Pikachu. |
Jesslana |
Disguise Da Limit | Used during the Verdanturf Pokémon Contest.
"Jesslana" battled against "The Phantom" with Dustox, but a Psybeam and Psychic explosion from Dustox and Dusclops blows off the disguise and revealing Jessie to everyone. As before, she and the rest of Team Rocket were blasted off by Pikachu. |
Jessafina |
Lessons in Lilycove | Used during the Lilycove Pokémon Contest.
"Jessafina" battled with Chimecho against May and Combusken, and end up knocking each other out after Chimecho's Double-Edge missed. |
Gardevoir |
Do I hear a Ralts? | Jessie disguised herself as a Gardevoir who belonged to a Trainer named Lord Sir James Jamison in an attempt to steal Ralts. While the plan was initially foiled, she tries it again on Max the following day, who isn't fooled in the slightest. |
[[File:|150px]] The Jester |
Mean With Envy | Used during the Pacifidlog Pokémon Contest. The disguise is the same as the "Jesslana" costume aside from Jessie wearing a pair of sunglasses.
"The Jester" battled against Erica and her Jynx with a Meowth who could Transform into different Pokémon. In actuality, the "transforming" was done through a device while the "Pokémon" transformations were costumes made by James. When Meowth accidentally scratches a hole in the Wailord costume, everyone finds out they were tricked and The Jester is disqualified. She reveals herself as Jessie with the rest of Team Rocket, and are soon sent blasting off by Jynx. |

Nurse Joy |
Fire and Ice | While Ash and friends were looking for a Pokémon Center to heal his Pokémon during the Indigo League, Team Rocket made a fake one when they couldn't get in to any of the others. Jessie tried to pass of as Nurse Joy (while standing completely still and not saying or doing anything) but Brock was not fooled for a second. Jessie attempted disguising as Nurse Joy again with a similar costume and mask in Hatch Me if You Can, but once again, Brock managed to detect that it was an impostor, this time going over the details versus the real Nurse Joy and Jessie's "cheap imitation." Then she repeated the disguise once again in The Unbeatable Lightness of Seeing! in an attempt to replace a real Nurse Joy as a contest judge, but of course Brock figured that "Nurse Joy" was a phony. |
