:The idea diffidently has merit. As Abcboy noted, the term 'school' is more appropriate than 'academy' given its common use in the Pokémon world. I feel the page has room for much more scope as the category "Education in the Pokémon world" acknowledges that there are many different education facilities. I was thinking this page could be transferred to a page called "Pokémon Education and Schooling" and it could be modelled on the layout of the [[Pokémon Professor]] page. Its listing and links to all the various professors acts like a redirect page though also makes note of the generalist role of the position in question much like a trainer class page. This way each of the various Pokémon schools and training locations would retain their own respective pages, and neatly be listed on this page. The page's current "in the anime" section could split up all the anime appearances into sub categories such as: | |||
:*Pre-school | |||
:*Schools | |||
:*Universities | |||

::Since this page covers more than just the Trainers' Schools in the games, I feel the current title is most appropriate—especially with SV introducing several heavily Pokémon-related ''academies''. The schools in Rustboro, Jubilife, Striaton, Aspertia, and Santalune City are all referred to as a "Trainers' School". The only schools that are referred to as "academies" in the games is Earl's Pokémon Academy in Generation II. Since the term's introduction in Generation III, most if not all newly-introduced schools in the core series and anime have been referred to as Trainers' Schools. --Abcboy (talk) 04:57, 9 October 2016 (UTC)
- The idea diffidently has merit. As Abcboy noted, the term 'school' is more appropriate than 'academy' given its common use in the Pokémon world. I feel the page has room for much more scope as the category "Education in the Pokémon world" acknowledges that there are many different education facilities. I was thinking this page could be transferred to a page called "Pokémon Education and Schooling" and it could be modelled on the layout of the Pokémon Professor page. Its listing and links to all the various professors acts like a redirect page though also makes note of the generalist role of the position in question much like a trainer class page. This way each of the various Pokémon schools and training locations would retain their own respective pages, and neatly be listed on this page. The page's current "in the anime" section could split up all the anime appearances into sub categories such as:
- Pre-school
- Schools
- Universities
- Training Camps
