Yeah...  It's just one of those things we can't really do anything about.  It's not like he's only editing his user page and nothing else.  Since the site is on the new server, we will get our privileges back too.  ~<font color="midnightblue" face="comic sans ms">$aturn</font><font color="green" face="comic sans ms">¥oshi</font> <font color="maroon">THE VOICES</font> 18:16, 11 July 2008 (UTC)

Revision as of 18:20, 11 July 2008

Some of you may have noticed that my activity here has been somewhat subdued recently.Well, I have done some thinking, nad I have decided that the basic human rights of Liberty and Property have been violated on this site.i have teh privilge of having a user page while others do not.Although I understand that the server can not handle the stress we are putting on it, I disagree with the choice to delete anything non-bulbapedian on the talk pages, even when u block the User pages.Ur are taking away our freedom of expression, a liberty. Our user pages are Pseudo-property, just like a myspace or a facebook would be. By blocking this, u r blocking our "property". In addition to that, there is no social contract on this site.it appears to be wat an admin says is law, and regular users have no way to get there point across. Although my particapation on this site will not be completely terminated, it will be subdued. If you wish to speak to the real DCM, go to the gym site:http://ipgl.proboards84.com/index.cgi . Its a much more open atmoshere. As a closing statement, i say good luck to all the users to thick to know when to bail ship.Emperor's Cookies 02:56, 5 July 2008 (UTC)

User page

I've gotten permission to edit my own user page but it never comes up...--Kakashi hatake34 10:06, 5 July 2008 (UTC)

what!?!?!??!?! Lord of Origami 10:12, 5 July 2008 (UTC)
No, you get a permission error

Can't help but say it...

But that was hilarious. TTEchidna 21:13, 6 July 2008 (UTC)

Oh well.I dont care. Its true, and I felt like making a speech

See a user makes a valid point against them and admins just go and mock it hoping it will go away, and TTE is usually cool.Guardian of Earth 16:14, 8 July 2008 (UTC)

TTE is cool. Some users have a tendency to act like babies and cry when they don't get their way. But, that is a fact of life that won't change anytime soon. ~$aturn¥oshi THE VOICES 16:25, 8 July 2008 (UTC)

I agree that TTE is cool (I rather enjoy his anime teams thing..) but DCM wasn't acting like a baby, he was just speaking his opinion. It's called Freedom of Speech. Garrison12795

Crying and acting like a baby?Dont make me laugh. Were you not here for those two days? And I dont even have the power to take the axe to my page. And while some users pages are monitored in case they have non-bulbapedian material, other users are allowed to have material on there page about voice actorsEmperor's Cookies 16:36, 8 July 2008 (UTC)
I'm all for people speaking their mind. But we are here to improve this site, non-related content doesn't really help with that. Bulbapedia is not a social networking service. ~$aturn¥oshi THE VOICES 16:38, 8 July 2008 (UTC)
Non related content is isubjective.Your definition of it could be completely different than mineEmperor's Cookies 16:41, 8 July 2008 (UTC)
True. Which is why I don't go around deleting stuff. But everyone's worried about server crashes and not enough mainspace edits and the like, so it seems best to act like a personality-less robot. ~$aturn¥oshi THE VOICES 16:48, 8 July 2008 (UTC)
Besides, we've been here longer thsn you have, how come you think you can just call him a baby and tell him what to do!?Garrison12795
I'm not telling anyone what to do. Plus, I said some people "act" like babies. I didn't say DCM is a baby... ~$aturn¥oshi THE VOICES 16:48, 8 July 2008 (UTC)

Regardless... Nothing can be improved if no one can get along. There is no real point in holding an argument over this. I wish DCM and everyone else good luck in their future endeavors. Everyone that contributes in a positive way is a valued member. Nothing is set in stone and there is always room for change. ~$aturn¥oshi THE VOICES 16:55, 8 July 2008 (UTC)

Okay so.

You do realize I was commenting on the OMGZ spam on Mr. "OMGZ SHUD B A BAD WORD". Anyway.
About the democracy thing. Guess what! Wouldn't work. Basic rights of liberty and property? Dude, where the hell do you live? Go against the government of the Untied States before going after a privately-owned website that has its owners' right, and by that I do mean Archaic, to do whatever it pleases until it starts taking away actual liberty and actual property. Want a right to LL&POH? Protest for it. Outside. Where there's actual liberty and property at stake because the corporate government (owned jointly by the Demoncrats and Retardicans, may I add) and keep that. This is the internet. Yes, we realize the userspace thing isn't fair, but DID YOU SEE WHAT THE HELL WAS GOING ON BEFORE WE STOPPED IT? There were literally 500 changes in RC, all of them in the User: namespace! ALL OF THEM. From UP TO THREE HOURS BEFOREHAND. Now, how many? Enough that at least YESTERDAY'S changes still appear.
Remember, I promised you that you'd get the User: namespace back. You will. But jeez, if you're protesting this, why not protest a detention given to you by your high school. See how far you get there.
Also, talking to us does help. We aren't some cold, distant dictatorial regime in the capital city. We're fellow internet users. I'M ANONYMOUS. I've got enough 258s to 124 a 194. I have a File:Spr 016.png and I'm not afraid to use it. Get it yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet? 079
Anyway, have a look at this. At least we didn't go into RC and say "LOL BAN" to everyone editing the User: namespace without warning. We said "guys, enough userspace editing", and when we weren't listened to, blocked all access to it.
I'd like you to use this tool, too: [1]. It's nice, isn't it? Sure, you gotta register for it separately... but that's gonna be solved eventually somehow.
Anyway, Bulbapedia Rebels... take it from me, a source at the top, to say... the userspace will return... very soon.
So, much cheeriness and happy things!
--TTEchidna 23:42, 10 July 2008 (UTC)
I just got really lost in that thing.I couldnt follow your point.Explain it better please.
Oh and by the way, You do still edit your user page, its in the history, even though the user space ban ws in affect.Emperor's Cookies 18:03, 11 July 2008 (UTC)
very soon
Well, at least we finally got him to admit it. --Martonimos((Argh|Blargh)) 18:04, 11 July 2008 (UTC)
I believe the gist of it is that userspace edits will come back (right now only admins have them), and that protesting democracy on a site that is actually owned by someone else is pointless. That's what I got from it, anyway. ~$aturn¥oshi THE VOICES 18:06, 11 July 2008 (UTC)
Yet he stills edits hi page.Emperor's Cookies 18:09, 11 July 2008 (UTC)

Yeah... It's just one of those things we can't really do anything about. It's not like he's only editing his user page and nothing else. Since the site is on the new server, we will get our privileges back too. ~$aturn¥oshi THE VOICES 18:16, 11 July 2008 (UTC)
