Karsten (Japanese: カズオ Kazuo) is a character of the day who appeared in Drifloon On the Wind!. He is the husband of a Nurse Joy, the father of Marnie and Paige, and an electrical engineer at the Valley Windworks.
Karsten drove his friends, his wife, and Marnie in an attempt to find Paige, but the mountain road was blocked by some large boulders. After Marnie contacted her friend, the Legendary Suicune, the family was reunited just in time for dinner.
Karsten was shown to be deeply concerned for his children's safety and offered to walk Marnie home before a thunderstorm was due to hit.
