Players could participate in 1 of 3 battle zones: 30-card deck, 60-card deck, or 60-card double battle, and would receive a number of points depending on the outcome of a battle. Upon reaching the requisite number of points, players could redeem either this card, a Holofoil {{TCG ID|ADV-P Promo|Multi Energy|42}} card, a card box, or bandana. Outside of Japan, it was awarded as a prize to those who attended the {{TCG|Pokémon League|Pokémon e-League}} throughout July 2004. In Japan, this card was 1 of 2 that could be earned by players who accumulated enough points by participating in Point Get Battle side events held at each regional Battle Road Summer 2003 venue during July and August 2003.
