Defense Crush 9:
Lowers the target's Defense by one stat rank when the user's attack move against it is successful.

Defense Crush (Japanese: 攻撃時防御ダウン Defense Reduction During Attack) is a family of skills in Pokémon Masters EX.

Effect

When the Pokémon successfully lands an attack on the target, it has a chance of lowering the target's Defense by one stat rank. The skill can range from Defense Crush 1 to Defense Crush 9, with higher numbered skills resulting in a higher chance of lowering the target's Defense. Defense Crush 9 will always lower the target's Defense. The skill applies to the Pokémon's usual attack moves, including Buddy Move Icon Masters.png buddy moves, but not sync moves or max moves.

The skill will act independently of the move's innate chance of lowering the target's Defense (if applicable). If the Pokémon has access to more than one Defense Crush skill, each will have a chance of activating independently of each other.
