:"EX" is pronounced with each letter separately, so saying "ee ex" is correct (and the same applies to Pokémon-ex's names). LV.X is just said "level X". Some say that this is the best thing to happen to the TCG, as Nintendo have brought a new dimension to the game and given the opportunity for so many more players to become involved, especially with the introduction of Pokémon Organized Play.
