Flannery's Torkoal (Japanese: アスナのコータス Asuna's Cotoise) is Flannery's main Pokémon in the anime. Its English voice actress is Maddie Blaustein.

In the anime

Torkoal made its appearance in Poetry Commotion where Team Rocket had tried to steal it. But they were defeated when Flannery's Slugma evolved into Magcargo and sent them blasting away.

Flannery used Torkoal in the gym battle against Ash Ketchum in Going, Going, Yawn. With a powerful Overheat attack and a strong Iron Defense, it was able to defeat Ash's Pikachu and Treecko easily.

Ash then used his last Pokémon, Corphish in battle. After a fierce battle, Corphish emerged victorious and managed to defeat Torkoal.
