Shudder? What does it mean exactly?

- There is just a message saying "Croagunk shuddered with anticipation!"DCM 15:41, 30 July 2008 (UTC)
- To shudder is along the lines of shaking in fear. ~$aturn¥oshi THE VOICES 17:09, 30 July 2008 (UTC)
- I know what shudder means, but how exactly does it affect the game? TheBlazikenMaster 02:46, 31 July 2008 (UTC)
- It's...just a warning. I don't really understand what you're trying to ask.--Loveはドコ? (talk • contribs) 02:55, 31 July 2008 (UTC)
- Just a warning, aha, I get it now. TheBlazikenMaster 02:57, 31 July 2008 (UTC)

when a pokemon shudders it means the opposing pokemon has a move thats super effective against the pokemon that has the anticipation ability.
- Not necessarily super effective. Just something that would have high power (Explosion for instance).--Loveはドコ? (talk • contribs) 04:29, 31 July 2008 (UTC)
When your Pokémon shudders, it means that the opponent has either: A) An attack that's super-effective against your Pokémon's type(s) (example: Your Toxicroak shudders if the opponent has a Psychic-, Flying-, or Ground-type attack; B) Either Explosion or Selfdestruct; or C) A 1-hit KO move (Sheer Cold, Guillotine, Fissure, Horn Drill).
- Of course, there's no way to know for sure what your Pokémon's shuddering is caused by until it happens, so it's pretty much a "This guy's gonna kick my ***" warning. Diachronos 17:21, 18 September 2008 (UTC)
- The question is, does it count even non-damaging moves, say, Rest? TTEchidna 17:42, 25 September 2008 (UTC)
