A breeding house is where Pokémon eggs are cared for. They appear in generations II, III, and IV.
In the anime
Breeding houses have appeared in a number of episodes in the anime. In Extreme Pokémon, a man by the name of Mr. Shellby and his wife helped take care of eggs at their small home in the town of Eggseter. They also helped to raise the Pokémon when they hatched. It is also where Ash received an egg that eventually hatched into his Phanpy.
A breeding house also appeared in May's Egg-Cellent Adventure. May received an egg from that breeding center which ended up hatching into an Eevee.
In If the Scarf Fits, Wear It, Ash and Co. discover that their friend Angie from Summer Camp is the daughter of the daycare couple, and help her search for a recently spotted 'scarf monster'.
