Friend Areas
Once Skarmory is defeated Diglett is safe and you are free to head back. After you are back in town, Friend Areas will be unlocked, after a short talk with Magenemite/Wigglytuff. Now you can buy some Friend Areas and pickup some new recruits.
Sinister Woods
After a few days have passed, Caterpie will come to your base asking for help. Metapod is in trouble at the end of Sinister Woods. As Caterpie is telling you about this Gengar's Team Meanies step in and decide they will do the job as well.
