:::I find that highly unlikely. It was released too recently, around the time of the Japanese release date (Pokémon are designed well before the game's release). Also, it is a single-season American TV series, not something that Japanese Pokémon designers are likely to know about. == Possible origin ==
It was already stated to look like a suit of armour, but I think it has a vague resemblance to the Statue of Liberty, being giant statues of similar colour. It also debuted in Unova, the region based on New York. Is the resemblance enough to be added there? Also, should the suit of armour be added there too, since its only in the biology section? Title

ゴルーグ is Gorūgo, Goruugo, or Gorugo, not Goruggo. Louisng114 01:51, 29 September 2010 (UTC)

Actually, it's Gorūgu, Goruugu, or Gorugu; however, the point remains that this page has an incorrect title. --SnorlaxMonster 06:53, 1 October 2010 (UTC)
I'm not too good with Japanese, but shouldn't the non-Japenese version sound something like "Golug", since "ru" translates into "lu", there's a long vowel stress, and the u at the end falls off? Arrogios 04:58, 12 October 2010 (UTC)
This name will do until we get an official romanisation. The 'r' sound is the equivalent of both 'r' and 'l', so it could go either way; if it always ended up as 'l' we would romanise it that way. As for the ending 'u', it isn't always dropped, so it is not incorrect to leave it. --SnorlaxMonster 12:45, 13 October 2010 (UTC)

Goruugu and Gobitto's colors

Why are they classed as green-colored Pokemon? They look like they're aquamarine color, which is blue... I'm really confused... --Han Ji-Wan 01:29, 20 January 2011 (UTC)

The colours here are the ones used in the PC boxes, which assign each Pokémon to a specific colour group. Werdnae (talk) 01:49, 20 January 2011 (UTC)
Interesting. I didn't know that. Thank you! :D --Han Ji-Wan 01:55, 20 January 2011 (UTC)

Is the "bandage" on its chest really based on a band-aid? The only origin of this element that makes sense to me is the bar that prevents the internal energy of the Prague golem (and perhaps others? I only know the Prague golem narrative) from escaping its body. Blue Charizard (talk) 13:57, 30 August 2012 (UTC)

Flight Methodology

I read in the "Special abilities" section that Golurk inserts its hands into its arms and retracts its legs and feet before taking off rocket-style. However, I haven't seen anything else that makes such a claim. I suspect that this detail is just someone's speculation, and I remember certain rules stating not to post things like speculation, especially as fact. Can anyone confirm or deny my suspicions? SharKing Productions 21:02, 7 May 2011 (UTC)

I believe it's from Golurk's 4-koma strip. Each of the B/W Pokémon was given one in the official Japanese strategy guide, IIRC. Blazios 12:01, 8 May 2011 (UTC)

Goloog, official romanization?

It's already mentioned in the biology section. As for the image, there's already an image of it flying, so another image will bloat the section. I think said image already illustrates what it would look like if it were to attack in that state.--ForceFire 04:48, 30 April 2018 (UTC)
