If you watch the episode with the battle with Burgh Ash switched his Tranquill out for Sewaddle. Iris and Cilan also mention Burgh not knowing Sewadle's battle style, corect me if I'me wrong but Sewaddle never really battled until (if he did battle before Burgh at all) at least thees postponed episodes, and why else would Ash have switched them out. :I am guessing that this could be put into the trivia. To elaborate a bit, we knew that the episode was fully produced at the production companies and sent to The Pokémon Company. In Japan's case, the episode was already put in TV Tokyo's lineup, set to air. Since TPCi is simply a subsidiary of The Pokemon Company, it was given access to the produced episodes as well (hence the tweet from Tom). Of course when the decision came from headquarters to skip the episode, TPCi followed suit. It is a cool little tidbit of information Gabo 2oo. - <span style="background:#96EAFF;border: 1px solid#0000FF"><b style="color:#FF0000">Vhayes</b><small>1992</small></span> 02:48, 12 June 2013 (UTC)
The official word on the episodes
According to the Pokemon Company of Japan when e-mailed and sources from TVTokyo, this episode and the next one are still slated to air in Japan.  This is why the ending to BW022 is unchanged and the preview for this episode retained, even being placed back on the DVDs even after it had been removed and replaced with a preview for BW023 in the initial printing of these DVDs.  Apparently, the retcon done in BW112 doesn't matter, since this anime tends to do loose retcons and forgets past details all the time.
The reason the episodes are taking so long to air is because they need to air on a Thursday in the normal time slot, but this would not only interrupt the schedule of the ongoing anime for one day, but for two days since a day would have to be given for Naruto to air two episodes in Pokemon's timeslot.  This was impossible to arrange during the Best Wishes' broadcast due to their specific placement in the plot, the "Season 2" rebranding of the series and all the issues that brought with it, plus the fact that the international dub had already retconned them out through BW022's alteration so they couldn't be aired while the BW dub was still going on.  Contrast with BW037 and XY024, which were single episodes and easier to work around the schedule of their respective shows and and put in the dub.
Therefore, these episodes will only air once a point in the XY is reached where taking two Thursdays off won't mess up the schedule, and they will only exist in the Japanese version of the show, as the dub has already passed them over. Lawrence 3 July 2015 (UTC)

I'm quite skeptical about what is said that the episodes will air "only once an airdate that does not disrupt the schedule of the current series has been selected". Because I can't see any source anywhere that can actually prove of this. So I'm gonna challenge for this line of text to be replaced with "it is unlikely this will ever come to pass.". Yes and No. It's obvious it will be but will still can't add it since it's not confirmed. --HoennMaster 06:56, 22 February 2011 (UTC)

Special with BW024

 • I thought this episode is supposed to air with BW024 on March 17, 2011, since wasn't that also rumored with no episode on March 24, 2011? There really wasn't anything confirmed stating that this episode would or would not air as a special with BW024. (Of course it's a no-brainer that the next episode is Part 2. We just don't officially know the Japanese Air Date.) Torpoleon 00:38, 4 March 2011 (UTC)

Very unlikely this will air

It's very unlikely that this episode and BW024 and BW026 will air, so can we just take those bars at the top where it says 'warning, this episode has not yet aired in Japan' off, and put them back on if they do air, because seeing as this episode probably won't air, there's no point keeping those bars at the top. Don't Hug Lucario! 17:12, 6 May 2011 (UTC)

Sure there might be a possibility that this won't air, but what that warning message is really saying to the readers is that details are scarce and that the content in the article is the only information currently known to the public. - Vhayes1992 21:52, 6 May 2011 (UTC)
The company said themselves that they plan to air this episode as well as part two in the future. The episodes will air someday. We just don't know when. --ケンジガール 21:58, 6 May 2011 (UTC)
Taking them off would basically be like putting false info in a way. They are kept on for the same reason the undubbed templates are kept on banned episodes. --HoennMaster 15:01, 8 May 2011 (UTC)

Does this still apply?

This is a quote from the unaired AG101 discussion:

"As a special or anything, like Holiday Hi-Jynx or Snow Way Out!, we will keep it in the list of AG episodes in the same place and we will keep its top and bottom prevnexts as they are, however, this will not become AG101, just as HHJ isn't EP039. It'd cause there to be too many moves (20 was enough for splitting the Deoxys special) and since it's been this long since the episode was supposed to air, it'd be stupid to call it AG101 now. It would be moved to its Japanese translated title, then to its dub title, if it ever receives one. For now, however, it will stay as AG101 (unaired).

The same will be true of any episodes skipped in the future due to a tragedy and aired more than a few weeks later under special circumstances. TTEchidna 05:42, 14 October 2008 (UTC)

So, does that still apply now? Don't Hug Lucario! 19:54, 13 May 2011 (UTC)

I don't see why it can't apply still, however, as there is a different Editor in Chief now, I'd ask either Kenji-girl or Deth about it. --P S Yライダー 19:59, 13 May 2011 (UTC)
I will not tell you this again. This and BW024 are going to air eventually. The creators said so themselves. They are still recovering from what happened and they need more time. Drop the subject already. We are not moving these articles and that's final. --ケンジガール 22:39, 13 May 2011 (UTC)
I was just asking if it still applies now, ok? Don't Hug Lucario! 08:49, 14 May 2011 (UTC)

Delayed/cancelled Info

Is there any more detail as to WHY this episode was cancelled/delayed? Were the tapes/originals physically broken/damaged in the earthquake? Does the episode contain something related to the real world incident? A city toppling earthquake? A large tsunami? It all seems very arbitrary, there is no detailed explanation in the article besides "the earthquake stopped it". Was there a news alert that just said "we are delaying the episode because of the earthquake, that is all" if so, very uninformative. If its not one of the previously mentioned reasons why these specific episodes held but no others? D558 06:02, 21 June 2011 (UTC)
